Joan A. Oppenheimer, BCES, Principal Environmental Scientist; MWH Global, now part of Stantec Inc.
Ms. Oppenheimer, BCES is a Principal Scientist within the Applied Research Department of MWH. Ms. Oppenheimer is responsible for project management of desktop, bench-scale, and pilot-scale testing of developing and alternative treatment technologies for compliance with water and wastewater regulatory requirements. Ms. Oppenheimer has 18 years of experience designing and implementing experimental protocols for water, wastewater, and hazardous waste projects and 10 years of project management and supervisory experience in the field of environmental process testing. With the WateReuse Research Foundation, Ms. Oppenheimer was the Principal Investigator for a study on the current state of industrial water reuse, including best practices, challenges, and opportunities to implement onsite water reuse.
