Eric Berlow

Eric Berlow is an ecologist and network scientist who specializes in not specializing. He is internationally recognized for highly cited publications on ecological complexity in Nature, Science, and the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science. He was the founding director of the University of California's first environmental research center in Yosemite National Park, where he continues to research climate change impacts to protected ecosystems and endangered species. Berlow is the Co-Founder of Vibrant Data — a data discovery platform for seeing invisible patterns in complex data. Vibrant Data was acquired by Slice Technologies, a Rakuten company, where he now serves as Head of Science. Eric has received numerous awards including a TED Senior Fellowship and GE’s “Architects of Innovation” award. He was named one of the Top 100 Creatives Changing the World by Origin Magazine.
